This project included research, field surveys, and preparation of base map drawings for the design of new street and landscaping improvements in the downtown area of the City of Sacramento, California. Work was conducted in heavy traffic conditions along 12 blocks of urban areas. Field surveys included location of existing utility facilities, driveways, traffic lanes, existing building corners, and other existing improvements within the project corridor. A comprehensive base map was prepared and is currently being utilized for the design of new streetscape improvements.
